Salin-de-Giraud is the last village before the sea at the southern tip of the Camargue — a nineteenth-century salt-works village surrounded by the wide, luminous landscapes of the Rhône delta.
This maison de maître has kept the character of its time: generous ceiling heights with mouldings, tall French windows, a fireplace in the living room and original cement-tile floors — checkerboard in the kitchen and hall, patterned in the sitting room. The kitchen and dining room form one bright space around a long family table.
The house stands on a fully fenced plot of 925 m² in a quiet street of the village, with a lawn shaded by an old olive tree and a palm. Since 2020 the owners have renovated and cared for it throughout: renovation works by local craftsmen, electrical works, a new terrace, a Mediterranean garden by a landscape specialist, new fencing and, in 2025, air-conditioning.
Pink salt pans, flamingos and the wild beaches of Piémanson and Beauduc are minutes away; Arles, with its Roman monuments and the LUMA arts campus, is a 45-minute drive. A house to enjoy from the first day — as a holiday home, a family base in the south of France or a year-round residence.
